Finally, Disneyworld!

We've been trying to make our reservations for Disneyworld for months - as soon as we confirmed the cruise in March, 2018, out of Miami, we've been trying to confirm a trip to Disneyworld.  They didn't have any reservations open past December, 2017, and even a phone call (a couple!) couldn't book a reservation that far in advance.  It was sort of irritating and a little surprising for Disney 'cuz usually, they are the epitome of perfection in making advance travel plans.

Today, I tried the website again and FINALLY - we are booked.  We thought about staying at The Animal Kingdom but service to the parks from there is bus only - so we opted for The Contemporary Resort where the monorail has direct service.  We looked at The Grand Floridian (the equivalent of The Grand Californian at Disneyland which is where we usually stay) but wow!  The few thousand dollars difference in price will pay for our meals (and then some).  I'm sure all resorts are nice.  If we hit the lottery between now and February, we can always change hotels.

We're so excited!

Just like with J.'s folks, we are definitely 'cashing in some bonds'.  That's what J.'s mom would always say to J.'s dad when they were about to spend any amount of money over what might be in their checking account.  We'll be doing the same, for sure - the 2017-18 school year is turning into a pretty huge travel year for us with two 'trips of a lifetime' to look forward to -

We can't take the money with us and as long as I'm working, we can afford to dip into savings as much as we want.  I can earn more.  (I say that a lot lately and it's true).

It's already approaching evening and considering we are planning to leave by 9AM tomorrow, I've got quite a bit to do - better get to it.

(I knew it would be super hard to be leaving immediately following a week of work.  I usually try to leave a couple days in between but the timing of the concert changed our plans.  We're going to have a fun time so...it will be worth it!).
